- RBFC & International Students
The number of foreign students is steadily increasing. According to UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), over 2.5 million students are studying outside their home country. They also predicted that by the year 2020 the number of foreign students will rise to approximately 7 million.
The main destinations preferred were the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada and Australia. The greatest percentage increases in the numbers of foreign students have occurred in New Zealand, Korea, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Italy, and Ireland. Please find more details here.
Well done on choosing New Zealand for studying abroad. Let’s dive a bit deeper into the numbers and focus on the numbers of international students in New Zealand and some issues they can face. In 2018, more than 100,000 foreign students applied to New Zealand's universities. Boosting their self-confidence, making themselves more independent and self-sufficient, a lot of students are moving to Dunedin, Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and other places.
The average cost of living for foreigners: between $20,000 and $25,000 per year ($380–480 per week) for rent, food expenses, transportation costs and personal expenses.
Of course, during their course of study, students are constantly supported by their families and receive money from all over the world.
However, they can face some problems with opening a bank account. Moreover, they need a secure and fast way to receive and send money.
RBFC understands the needs of international students and focuses on providing a solution for this problem. With us, using a simplified yet highly technical software, we're able to offer:
- Easy account application
- Fast wire transactions
- Fiat currency conversion
- High security of operations
We simplify the flow of digital financial transactions, giving you the opportunity to receive and transfer funds worldwide.
Grab your new friends, create a personal account with RBFC, and start receiving and sending funds safely, easily, and quickly!
- RBFC & International Workers
If you’re going to work abroad, you’re going to want to do it right – and where on Earth could be more right than New Zealand? In September 2019, a new set of rules on work immigration to New Zealand was accepted. The simplified process will allow 25-30,000 businesses of targeted industries to attract qualified workers.
The numbers of workers who arrived under the seasonal employment program increased by 70% over the last 5 years.
If you’re thinking of coming to New Zealand to work for a few years, or maybe even to settle, you’ll need a work or resident visa. To get that – you’re likely to need a job and a bank account.
In 2018, about 300,000 foreigners received work visas for New Zealand.
However, it is a well known fact that people from other countries encounter difficulties when opening bank accounts with a banking system they are not familiar with. Even if an account is opened, transaction costs and time consumption are high.
RBFC understands foreign employees' needs and simplifies digital financial transactions, allowing receiving and transferring funds worldwide.
We offer:
- User-friendly application
- Fast way to receive & send money worldwide
- Fiat exchange
- High security of operations
- ATM/debit card

Wire Transfer
- What is Bank Wire (SWIFT) transfer?
A wire transfer is an electronic transfer of money. A traditional wire transfer goes from one bank or credit union to another using a network such as SWIFT.
SWIFT (the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) is a type of international transfer sent via the SWIFT international payment network.
This type of electronic funds transfer went live back in 1973. The system can be used by organizations, private individuals or entrepreneurs. Nowadays, more than 11,000 financial institutions use it by sending out over 25 million messages daily.
Key benefits:
- Security and consistency of money transfer worldwide.
- Transparency - SWIFT payments clearly detail the amounts involved in the transaction, the route it takes between banks, the details of all charges and the nature of the payment (along with many other details). This information allows all parties involved to track the transaction and to understand the costs and time period involved.
- Traceability - Because SWIFT details the route of the transaction between banks and the amount of money involved, it provides clear and recognized proof of payment.
- Multicurrency calculation of funds.
- Ease of payments - With SWIFT transfer you can easily pay for the goods you bought from another country. You can also send money to individuals or organizations located in another country.
- Fast processing time - With SWIFT transfer money moves within 1-3 business days. However, they can take longer due to time differences between the sending and the receiving country, or multiple intermediary banks involved with delivering your money.
- Low fee of transfer.
How SWIFT payment work
SWIFT does not actually move money; their network transmits messages between banks that allow the banks to make transfers.
SWIFT assigns each financial organization a unique code that has 8-11 characters. The code is interchangeably called the bank identifier code (BIC), SWIFT code, SWIFT ID, or ISO 9362 code the international transfers in SWIFT are most demanded.
RBFC simplifies digital financial transactions, that allows receiving and sending Bank Wire (SWIFT) transfers worldwide in all major global currencies.
